Our Choirs

The Grand Rapids Symphony Youth Choruses is a choral organization for young people which seeks to promote excellence in singing and appreciation of music from all around the world. As an official affiliate of the Grand Rapids Symphony, the choruses are featured in concerts with the symphony each year. Collaborating with professional musicians teaches our young singers to aspire to their highest level of musicianship.

Tuition

Choirs Grouped by Age and Experience

Melodia and Mosaic Singers are comprised of our youngest members, who are in grades 1-6. In both choirs, singers begin to learn about tone, blending, and basic singing technique, along with being introduced to sight reading and musical literacy.

Our flagship ensemble, the Youth Chorus, is comprised of singers from 7th grade through high school. This group learns a large amount of repertoire, and makes appearances in professional concerts several times a year. In our GRSYC concerts, all the choirs sing individually as well as together. These concerts feature music from all around the world, as we seek to educate our singers about other cultures. We believe that all people are more alike than different, and together we can make the world a more beautiful place.
